Berlin offers many exciting literary events: The second book fair in Berlin has been something for every taste. On the first day have come about 1,000 visitors to the fair. The whole variety: From children's books to crime fiction – the publishers have offered a large selection.

Ich freue mich auf eine besondere Lesung. Das Wochenende Ende November wird sicher auch wegen den vielen anderen Schriftstellern und Besuchern ein besonderes Ereignis. Was spielt dabei eine weitere Rolle? Sicherlich der Veranstaltungsort im Logenhaus in Berlin-Wilmersdorf und das Publikum. Außerdem: Technik und Saalbeleuchtung. Trotz Soundcheck sind mir in der Vergangenheit oft seltsame Dinge passiert. Mikros rauschen, knacken, sirren oder geben einfach auf. Einmal krachte es während der Lesung so laut wie bei einem Bombenanschlag.
Ein anderes Mal fiepte ein Mikro so fies, dass über 300 Besucher sich verschreckt die Ohren zuhielten. Doch in aller Regel sind Lesungen sehr angenehm. Denn sie machen alle Beteiligten glücklich: Veranstalter, Buchhändler, Schriftsteller, Verlagsleute, Leser, Journalisten und noch viele mehr.
